Default What about Chatham, Va.

Was thinking on moving to the outskirts of Chatham, and was wondering about the ups and downs of the area. I am retired a good woodsman and a very good handyman. Thank you, "B"

Chatham is quiet and extremely reserved; however, I think you will like this small town. I was born and raised here but I've travelled and lived in other states such as, Las Vegas, NV and Witchita Falls, TX; however, I did return home. I like it here because it's quiet and you're only an hour from any major city if you want to do any major shopping, or go to a nice concert. If I drive South for an hour, I'll be in Greensboro, North Carolina, North - I'm in Lynchburg, VA, West - I'm in Roanoke, VA and East - I'm in South Hill, VA.
I think you will enjoy your retirement here. Alot of people retire here from all over the U.S. Those are the ups....on the downside-this is the Commonwealth of Virginia, not the State of Virginia! Ok, ask me later about the downside, ok!
If you need more information, please contact the County Clerk!

Hey, BlackBa, Thank you for your opinion. I now have a little to go on. As far as the ups go, sounds good. And if having to obtain the downs from the County Clerk ??????????? Is there no other in town with those "Qualifications". I remember as a child, passing through Chatham, nice little town. As I am about to retire, Chatham bounces back to my thoughts. It will most likely be spring before I can make it to town. And would be best if I check it out myself. At that point, if I don`t get the info I require, I`ll try and make contact with the County Clerk. Thank You, And, Merry Christmas to all. "B"

If you see a Black 2001-Mitsubishi Montero-Limited with the tags reading BLACKBA, or a Black 2007-Toyota Camry with the tags reading BLCK BA2; that will be me! It means Black Baby! Yes, this is your friend "V". I hope you will enjoy your visit to Chatham. Call me! "BlackBa"

Hey "B",
I'm not sure about the new year. It's sorta moving slow! Santa was not so good to me; I was my own Santa. So you think I'll get the best in the new year; therefore, 2009 should be all mine ! I like that! You have my number, give me a call me and let's chat for a second, or two. Right now that's just about how long it'll take Just wanna hear your voice! I'll be waiting!!!! "BlackBa"
