Default Which area Kroger has the best bakery?

Anybody prefer one area Kroger bakery over another? I'm thinking of having them do my wedding cake!

Might also try Coffey Cakes in Lynchburg. I found them on one of the sites I develop (BigDaySmallWorld.com). Check out their gallery:

Good stuff! Now I'm hungry!

UKROP's bakery is superior over Kroger.

Kroger does more of the "commercial bakery" stuff. Ukrop's is like an old-fashioned bakery. Great cakes and cookies.

Ukrops was our first choice, we got the sampler of all the wedding cake flavors and didn't love any of them However I can eat the white icing by the tub!
Kroger "birthday cake" is tasty enough for both of us and about $300 less than most of the wedding cake bakers in the area. Guess nobody has a favorite Kroger bakery...

I'm surprised but to each is own. I work for them but I love Ukrop's Cakes its my fav. Probably because I grew up eating them every year for my birthday.

Kroger bakery sucks! Ukrops is way better. But, Fresh Market is probably the best grocery store bakery.

I'd suggest trying the new Kroger on 460. It's a beautiful store and I've been pretty impressed with some of the goodies in their bakery case. They look delicious and professional!

Most chains, such as Kroger or Food Lion or Wendy's or Applebee's get the same ingredients delivered off the truck. They use the same recipes and very similar, if not identical cookware and appliances. I wouldn't over-analyze the decision, just pick a Kroger that you like and go with it.
