Question Possible Relocation

Hi everyone,

My husband has applied for a union position that could place us in the greater Charleston, WV area or possibly in the greater Roanoke/Lynchburg area in VA (the union jurisdiction includes both states).

We have 3 small children, 2 of which are currently in elementary school and one who will shortly be attending elementary, so school districts are very important for us.

We are also concerned about finding a nice neighborhood that is within our budget (we will be renting initially), and would love if we could find a place large enough for us (4 bedrooms preferably, at least 2 baths) under $1000 a month.

I'm not sure if we will find exactly what we are looking for, but I am hoping for any help in regards to schooling and neighborhoods. Also, what areas to avoid.

Any help is appreciated!

Teresa

matthews1965 will become famous soon enough
You know it isn't impossible to find a home for rent that meets your needs. I'm not positive, but I do know a family that located a 4 bdrm in roanoke county for $1200, so just research your schools and then proceed from there. Best of luck!!!!
