Where to dump bottles of wine/glass bottles?
I'm at Cave Spring, not that I'm a freaking environmentalist but it's just that I intend to sort things into categories. Know any close to zip 24018?
Thanks.

There are recycling drops in the parking lots of the Cave Spring Middle School and the Kroger on the corner of Electric and Brambleton. I can't remember which one accepts glass, but I think it is the one at Kroger.

I have been unsuccessful at finding a place that will take glass!
I think a better (and my only) option might be to get a bottle tree and use it for decoration in the yard!
My other alternative is to haul them up to CT to my parents house - their town has glass recycling!

Sorry I gave bad info. I think I've seen glass recycling somewhere.... Maybe I'll remember.
There is someone at the Roanoke Farmers Market who makes cheese cutting boards out of old wine bottles. Maybe he'll take yours?

Watchful, thanks for the url, it would be so much more helpful if the site uses zip code instead of numbering for each drop-off site, how do I know which one to go? Check out one by one?
I'm losing confidence of the gi (general intelligence)...

Looks to me from that site, when you look for the additional info, you see that many places aren't listing glass as a recyclable that they take (the Hollins site for example).
You might not have many options to try.

Should I build a glass factory for Roanoke? So that anyone/everyone of you can bring your empty glass/wine bottles to my factory. The one in the Cave Spring Middle School does not accept glasses neither. Strange, these area/neighborhood is supposed to be well-to-do, hence, one would think that wine drinking family here would be higher percentage-wise, therefore, the need for these sort of bottle dumping would be stronger. Hmm, maybe, in real life, logic beats reality again and again. Or, there's one in the area, it's just that it's hidding somewhere.
