Default which bank/broker did you chose for your purchase mortgage

if you did it in 2009, which one did you go by?
why? THANKS

there are so many banks out there... I dont know which one to choose. BOA gave me $500 gift certificate, but the rate is a little higher than others I compared it with other banks several times was consistently higher..

We like BB&T, they're a regional bank, and in much better financial shape than a BoA or alternative national bank.

We refinanced and are now with BB&T. It is the rate that is most important in the long term, not saving $500 immediately. Skip B of A.

I bought my house just before the recent mess happened, and I also used BB&T. They've always been real good to me, and I haven't had the kind of bad experiences I had with my first house and Wachovia.
