Default Thoughts on Housing Market?

Our family has loved living in Roanoke, but it seems the job fairies are sending us back to Maryland. I'm now worried about what to do with the house we bought. We purchased at the height of the market , and homes in our neighborhood are now selling for less.

Not sure what to do in this situation. Should we try to sell? Try to rent? Any recommendations on real estate agents who might be able to help us?

Thanks!

If you could rent for more than your mortgage that would be ideal.

Maybe you could rent it for a few years until the housing market stabilizes further and then try to sell.

Though, holding a mortgage may make it difficult to get another one should you decide to try to purchase in MD.
