I need to rent a 3 BR apartment for my two toddlers and I in the ROC area for one year only. We live in the finger lakes countryside currently but my husband is going to be working in Madrid for a year so we need to move much closer to the ROC airport for frequent travel.
I generally hate apartment complexes but think in this case it's probably a wise idea because of security, ease of maintenance when husband's out of town, frequent absences, etc.
Any and all thoughts/suggestions welcome. Just looking on the map, I'm drawn to Long Pond Shores in Greece because the Braddock Bay/lakeside location looks cool. But I really want to know where the absolute nicest apartments are in town. Price no object.
Long Pond Shores is certainly not the nicest apartment complex in Rochester, but they did just build some new waterfront units that don't look bad. It's a great location. You can be on the Parkway in minutes. 15 minutes to the airport or downtown. Wegmans on Latta Rd is only about a mile away and there are other stores, banks, restaurants there. Ridge Rd is close too.
If you love the outdoors, you'll love it there. There are lots of trails and people are always walking, bike riding, jogging and walking their dogs.
If you have any more questions, let me know. I live in that area.
look into The Hammocks in Perinton (Fairport)...they seem quite nice and the area is great.
