Rg&e
is it worth calling the many alternative suppliers of gas and electric?
Any recommendations of alternative suppliers?

I've looked into the alternatives and some of them seemed to be cheaper at first, but in the end they all equal out and end up costing you around the same as RG&E

thanks, for saving me some time. Individually calling to get quotes would be quite time consuming and I couldn't find any legitimate comparison sites.

Interesting...
A guy from one of these alternative energy places ("Just Energy") turned up at my door the other day. He started asking me something about whether I'd done my energy-use calculation yet, saying it was on my RG&E bill. He made it sound as if this was something I had to do. It was odd. I finally figured out what kind of company he worked for and realized that I didn't HAVE to do anything. I took his literature and told him I'd look it over (he said he'd be back in 3 months) but now I think I'm just going to toss it. His approach annoyed me as I could see that it would definitely confuse some people. His literature even used the same colors as the RG&E bill.

I decided to stick with RG&E until I hear of happy money-saving customers with an alternative.
