There is a synogogue in Geneva too: Temple Beth-El, Geneva, NY--Serving the Jewish Community of the Finger Lakes Region and the Greater Rochester Area

I don't think East Bloomfield is a bad area and is pretty rural/small town in character. Canandaigua may be a good middle ground in terms of location.

Good luck!!
It's funny how someone from Syracuse is trying to provide a false information about the Jewish community. The suggestion on Rush-Henrietta is definitely an epic fail.

What are your housing preferences, price-wise and otherwise? What is it about your current situation that you'd like to have in Rochester?

I'd like a single family home, with at least .25 acres. I have a budget of 200,000. I'd like to be in a neighborhood where I am literally not the only Jewish person. It does not have to be a large Jewish population. We have 4 dogs, which is why I'd like some land. It doesn't matter how many bedrooms, but I'd like 2.5 baths if possible. Thank you!

Some of those I've looked at, but I think Batavia is too far from where my boyfriend works (he works in Ontario).

Knowing that, Irondequoit or Penfield may be better choices in terms of taking Route 104 to work. Property Search Results

So, I really like this house in Sodus Point. I know it's probably not a Jewish area, as my boyfriend said he saw a lot of churches, but do you think I would be safe there? If so, how far would the nearest temple be? Thanks again.
