You would also be about 1 and half or so from where the frat got started and there may be an alumni chapter for the college/university you went to in the area.
If I posted up a question asking where white professionals congregated, would that be considered racist? Or am I just racist for thinking this is racist?
If you are a minority and you want to reach out to others like you, posting on the forum like this is one way and makes sense and is understandable. If your among the majority, it comes off as questionable.
When your a minority, it's natural to want to reach out to others like you. That's not to say your life is defined that way. When you are in the majority, that natural longing isn't present as most people are like you. Thus, it becomes questionable.
To the OP, your best bet is to get in touch with a Professional group and get contacts from there.

I don't know if they still exist with downsizing and all, but Kodak, Xerox and B&L all used to have professional organizations for blacks, one for Hispanic, one for woman, and another for LBGYQ. I believed they intermingled with other companies groups as well.

I know Xerox still has various caucus groups, including YP NeXus (for young professionals), the National Black Employee Association, Hispanic Association for Professional Advancement, Asians Coming Together, The Women’s Alliance, Black Women’s Leadership Council, GALAXe Pride at Work, and Veteran Service Members Association.
