First of all, it is against the law. Secondly, it is very loud and disturbing to your neighbors. Please be considerate and don't force your neighbors to be the "bad guy" and call the police. Nobody wants to listen to you and/or your kids riding up and down the street in front of their house. This also goes for snowmobiles in the winter.

This is not a rant. It is a reminder to be considerate to your neighbors. A lot of our neighbors are in close proximity and sometimes people don't think about the effects of what they do.

As a rule, most of what you do is much louder than you think.

For example:

Nobody should hear your music thumping late at night or early in the morning. The subwoofer on your home theater system can be heard at least 100 feet away if turned up to a typical listening volume (not if you watch The Notebook).

You think your dog has only been outside for fifteen minutes but it's been more like two hours and he has been barking most of that two hours.

Voices carry. If you're out on your deck, hot tub, pool etc. late at night, and your neighbors have their windows open, they can hear you at least a few houses down. Unfortunately you almost have to whisper if you live very close to other houses but your neighbors shouldn't have their sleep disturbed because you can't keep it down after 10 or 11:00. (I'm not talking about the occasional grad party or wedding that goes until 2:00 a.m. I'm just referring to everyday "drinkin by the pool".

Again, this isn't a rant. I don't want to get in a discussion of what should and should not be acceptable. If you think I'm being overly sensitive, please respond with your address so I can come by your house and disturb you when you're sleeping or relaxing with a cup of coffee on a Sunday morning.
