This is a big deal even if the impact it could have isn't immediately known. Eastman is going to team up with the US Dept. of Energy's Oak Ridge Lab. This could turn into a real boon creating many opportunities for even more energy jobs to be created in Rochester through smaller companies.
Something else I even found more interesting though is that Kodak had been trying to sell off The Eastman Business Park. But they've now taken it off the market and have decided to keep it. This could be a signal that they see the investment coming to fruition and the park starting to live up to its expectations. I think that's a great sign.
