Are there any family friendly events going on this Saturday in or near the Rochester area? Looking for something to do with the wife and kids before I am consumed with schoolwork at RIT.

BTW there are fireworks at RIT Sunday night at 9:30 if anyone's interested.

There's that burger and rib fest going on at MLK Jr. Park, think Saturday is the burger contest day. Free in the afternoon and it says there's a kids area. Personally I'm going to go check it out on Sunday to see the rib competition, I want to see what these guys have on site with them because at some point I feel like I want to start competing in these local things.

The Rochester Museum and Science Center is always fun for both kids and adults with a number of events:

The Planetarium:
Strasenburgh Planetarium (they have cool laser shows on Saturday nights)

The Zoo of course as well:

The Rhinos are in town:
