I live here and my life is actually improved by making downtown more attractive and a nicer place to spend my time. I think the area is doing quite a bit right now to try and solve poverty, problem is it's not a very easy thing to solve consider many other cities have the exact same concentrated poverty issues we have. You also can't focus all your attention on issues like that, otherwise no one is going to want to live in your city in the first place.

I do remember when the Hyatt stood as a skeleton as well. Thank goodness those business men stepped up to the plate and resolve the issues.
