Default Webster Schools? Penfield?

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any information on the Webster central school district and info on living in Penfield. Are there any areas to stay away from? We are considering moving to Penfield. Where the development is, the district is Webster. If anyone has any info, please let me know. Thanks

I would reccomend Penfield over Webster, although they are both very similar in size. Neither one has any real bad areas. Both towns are pretty big in size. Both towns are full of subdivisions and housing developments. Penfield has some more rural areas than webster does but both towns are pretty built up. Both are very good places to raise a family. Crime or bad schools in non existant. Its your pick

I wouldn't completely say crime is non-existent. The only area I'd advise to stay away from is Phillips Village in Webster. It's a low-income housing development and can be slightly less safe (although it's still significantly safer than just about any neighborhood in downtown Rochester).

That's not to say however, that all people who live there are bad. I had some very good friends that lived there who were honor students.

Phillips village is in the village of Webster, off of Phillips road. I spent some time in the older housing development by the Phillips village and never had any problems. No safety issues really. I was more of a danger than most people living in that area.
