Traveling to Rochester area next week. Plan to stay at a hotel/motel in that area for 4 or 5 of the seven days I'll be there and need to find a decent place to stay. Anyone have any bright ideas??
I've read horror stories about the Clarion Riverside, but can't afford much - especially upwards of $75 - 100 a night!! Traveling alone - don't care about facilities such as pool and all the amenities... just need a safe, clean place to rest my weary head! I'd love a B&B, but they're apparently way out of range!! Does anyone know about the Hi-Way Rest Motel, Empire Motel, Webster Lodging Corp., or area chains (Fairfield Inn/Budget Inn, etc.). I prefer to stay near Irondequoit or East (Webster, Ontario, NY). Thanks for any advice/suggestions. Skye |

The park avenue area of the city has some really nice B&B's in nice turn of the century victorian homes. But you are right, they can be fairly expensive. There is a pretty nice Marriot on the border of Greece and Gates by the airport, but that is on the west side and said you wanted to be on the east side.
