Victor is very nice. Its got a great village; very historic. there are probably some cheaper house like places to rent in the village. victor is a pretty expensive place to live for the most part but you can probably find some deals on RentRochester.com

I have family that lives in Victor and it's certainly a nice little village. But there's not a whole lot to do entertainment wise so you'll be driving. The Victor area is also Rochester in general. Depending on how old you are and what local services you require you could live basically anywhere. The younger bar hopping crowd usually tries to live in the Park Ave area as you can walk to lots of entertainment VS driving.

I did see the funniest thing at the local village pub. They had a blackboard over the urinal. In usual fashion someone wrote "I <bleeped> your mom!" and below it some wise guy replied "Go home Dad, you drunk!!!" Too funny.

no, i know victor has nothing on DC a far as prices. i lived in olcott NY (close to buffalo)
all my life. all of a sudden i decided to move to maryand of all places. the cost of everything is high and its a hastle to do anything. i am looking forward to moving back to a smaller town in NY. as far as night life is concerned i would rather start a bon fire and drink some beers with friends rather than go bar hopping and get myself in trouble.
