Hi,
I'm a 21 year old single woman and I am looking at renting half a house on North park right off norton street. It would be right on the border, and literally my house the first one that is in Irondequoit. It's a gorgeous house, at a great price. when I first looked at it I drove 590 to 104 and went south on goodman. then today I drove from the beginning of south goodman all the way up through north goodman, and I'm not sure I liked what I saw. It looked like a lot of run down boarded up houses were all over north goodman and not particularly safe (even for being 10am).
Does anyone know how safe this area is?
I bartend a dn waitress and get home at 2:30 in the morning fairly often. Is it likely that I will get jumped, or worse when I get home?

It is highly unlikely that you will get jumped. Unless you live on north Goodman closer to the city, you won't have to worry.

If I am thinking of the correct area, I believe that is right by Pudgies (highly recommended). I'd say that is right in the transition zone. I wouldn't buy property there, but renting should be fine.

Does it have parking? That time of night, I'd feel better if it has off-street parking.

could be iffy there.
I have never gotten out of my car in that neighborhood, but that said I drive through often and that doesn't bother me at all.
don't know what a good answer is to be honest.
