reasonable hotels in Penfield area??
Hi all,
We are flying up to Rochester for the weekend and for a family event in the Penfield area. I've tried looking online for hotels and can't seem to find a decent hotel for a reasonable price. Any pointers?? The family has booked a block of rooms at the Courtyard By Marriott in East Penfield. The rooms are all taken and the ones available are $115 before taxes!). I'd like to be close by if possible. If anyone knows of hotels in the area I'd really appreciate it.

You can look at THE BROOKWOOD in Perinton... it is located in Bushnell's Basin, but RIGHT next to the expressway and five minutes from Penfield... not TOO expensive... you might also want to check in Webster NY, as that is the next town over from Penfield and only about a 5-10 minute drive depending where in Penfield you need to be... good luck

Hi, I live in Penfield. The next town over is Webster and they have some hotels there. I'd search on the net for names and rates. There are also two bed & breakfasts in Penfield. One is called Strawberry castle. Don't know name of other but it's on rt. 441. Hope you find a good spot and enjoy!

I'm pretty sure the Strawberry Castle is no longer a B and B.
The other one mentioned is the Clematis Inn.

Besides the Courtyard, Hotels are few and far between in Penfield. The one mentioned that is in Victor is a good choice though, very close.

I live by the Celmatis Inn... it is kind of far out-not exactly what I would like for a nights stay either... I think you would prefer a hotel.
I believe the Strawberry Castle is a privat residence.

Thanks for the responses. It looks like if I want to save a bit on the hotel it will have to be closer to the airport. Hubby, who has lived in Rochester, does not want to be in Henrietta. We may just bite the bullet and go with the courtyard in the end. Thanks again

Howdy Neighbor, we are probably only 3 miles apart.

Very cool... I love living out there... it is just far enough outside the hussle and bussle to make me feel like I live in the country.
