I know that EK sold off 3-4 business units, between 1990 and 2000, and if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that those "diversions" involved maybe 6-7,000 people. I'm also fairly sure that a few possibly started up new, small businesses, but I doubt that would include more than a couple hundred people, if that.
But keep in mind, that's just an educated guess, on my part.
