I'm currently in NYC and trying to transfer to Suny Oswego for zoology major next semester. When I google it brings 1hr 40min to go there from
Rochester. I'm wondering anyone commute like this?? Is it horrible to commute from Rochester to Oswego in the morning(traffic)??

What about in winter? I found out it snows about 5 months there.

If you drove 104, you'd be commuting through the heart of the snow belt, which might make it at least a 3 hour commute many days in the winter when there is lake effect snow. I don't know if there is a better way to commute. Traffic would be negligible, especially compared to NYC. People around here will think you are crazy making a 1 hr. 40 minute commute mostly because rush hour around here is usually a 15-30 minute commute from the suburbs to the city.

Just curious...why would you have to commute from Rochester?

That commute would not be fun in the winter. Trust me. I would go to visit my sister and it is not very safe. I think that Syracuse would be a closer commute if you didn't want to live in Oswego. Imo, it would be better in terms of you getting to class that you stay in the area.
