Hello everyone,
My family will be moving into the Sweden/Brockport area in late August. Are there any places around there that we definitely should visit (restaurants, coffee houses, museums)? Also how is the Brockport Diner? |

Hmm, the Brockport Diner is ok...pretty much a typical diner. Brockport is a college town (and a party school at that), so you get a lot of pizza and junk food shops and bars. I like Main Street Pizza for pizza, but there is no special reason to visit, just decent NYC style pizza. In nearby Spencerport, I like Taste of Texas BBQ (much preferred over the Smokehouse in Brockport, which amusingly everyone's favorite dishes are non-BBQ). For the beach out there, I like Hamlin Beach...just take 19 North and follow the signs. For museums, there is the Jello Museum in Leroy, and the railroad museum in Medina, but you'd probably be best to go into Rochester (it isn't too far with 531). If you have younger kids, Strong Museum of Play is a must see.
