Rochester is both highly economically segregated and decades behind progressive cities with regards to race relations.

Most Blacks in Rochester are in the SW and NE quadants of the city, when they seek suburban housing the local real estate agents almost always try to steer then to Henrietta or Greece. Ive know people who had to fire real estate agents to get to be shown homes in Penfield, Mendon and Fairport.
White FLED the city when there was a large migration of southern Blacks in the 50s and 60s. They are fleeing the inner burbs now that a small amount of Black have moved into a few of the inner burbs.
I would never raise my child there nor would my wife tolerate me even suggesting a move there.
She can feel the foulness when we visit.

you can repeat yourself as many times you want with blanket statements and generalizations with questionable anecdotes, but do you have anything to prove your assertion that its one of the most segregated areas in the country?

OK you win, the Rochester suburbs are highly diverse, progressive and welcoming to Blacks, Hispanics and all other ethnic minorities.
Thats why they are flocking to Rochester from all over the nations to avail themselves of these opportunities and social and economic progress.
There you go, do you feel better now?
LMAO!!

Out of the Eastern suburbs in the area, I would say that Fairport and Penfield are probably the most "diverse". I believe that Pittsford has it's share of Asians too.

Its still less than 10% of all minorities combined. My mom lives in the Fairport area.
If Im visiting her and I go jogging at night the police are sure to be called.
It happens almost everytime I visit.

Who said anything about being HIGHLY diverse? I am saying the area is no more racist than any other area of the country. I am also saying its not one of the MOST segregated areas of the country (i proved the census website as proof). All you can do is mock others and throw out sweeping generalizations and questionable anecdotes.

Seriously?
Here's info. on that area: Perinton, New York - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fairport, New York - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm not sure how much it's changed since that last census though.
Here's Penfield: Penfield, New York - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and for the school districts too: https://www.nystart.gov/publicweb-rc...1301060000.pdf

Keep up the good work. I enjoy you following me from thread to thread denying racism in Monroe county.

I posted a link to a census chart giving segregation lists. You said that Rochester was one of the most segregated areas of the country. According to the list it is not. Even world class places like NYC and Boston were placed higher on the segregation list.

Rochester was 21 on the list yet its not even in the top 50 in the cities list with regards to population. Save the baloney. Ive lived there, some of my family still lives there, and I have never in my life lived or visited a more racist place in my life.
