Default Bus routes

How does Rochester (suburbs included) fare in terms of bus routes? Checking the bus routes online, it seems like all routes go from the suburbs to downtown Rochester and viceversa, but I don't see routes connecting the suburbs. For instance, if I want to go from Brighton (Edgewood Ave. & French Rd.) to Henrietta (Jefferson Rd. & Silvarole Dr.), I would have to go all the way up to downtown to transfer to another bus. The alternative would be to go to Winton & Jefferson and take the bus there, but that would be a pretty long walk.

Are there any "park & ride" areas, where you would drive to a specially designated parking lot, leave your car, and get the bus from there, thus accessing a bus route that may be far from your location?
