Question Returning to Sodus Point, NY

I will be moving to Sodus Point from San Francisco by the end of June. I have been working as the Center Manager for a Dual Diagnosis Residential Facility called Center For Recovery which is run by the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. I am also a certified Addictions Treatment Counselor, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist.

I am relocating so that I can provide caregiver services to my mother who otherwise is destined for a nursing home.

I am wondering if any of my old friend are alive and well in Wayne County. I suspect quite a few would be in recovery if they've made it this far... My name is George Straubing and I am 52 y.o./didn't expect to live past 21, but **** happens.

So, if anyone is out there, give me a holler...

Peace out.

My brother in-law has a cottage on Port Bay in Wolcott. Many people from Rochester have cottages there. We usually spend a lot of time there in the summer, but most of the people we know are fellow summer vacationers from Rochester and Syracuse.

Thank you for responding to my post. Yes, when I left Sodus Point, the old homes and cottages were being bought-up, torn down, and re-built into some really nice places. Of course the property values for the locals sky- rocketed. But it was good to see the rebirth/mondernization of the Point. I also have a friend who owns a farm in Wolcott, or he did when I moved. I used to take my boat to port bay at night for a few cocktails. Very nice...
