Sometimes you can get the Border 106.7 out of Watertown/Ogdensburg in the Northern Suburbs and other parts of Syracuse too.
My son set his radio to said station, static before 9pm..... then the static lessened as the station (my son not touching the dial) came in clear upon 9pm. I heard (myself) before and after the hour strike.

Though, it's not a bad thing. Tis a great station to listen to.

98.9 The Buzz and 98 PXY are two of the strongest stations from Rochester. So is 92.5 WBEE. All three can be heard beyond Medina and Darien Lake (pretty much the western cutoff for most Rochester FMs) and into eastern Niagara and Erie Counties.

The strange thing was, if you head into Cicero, on the same exact channel we got out of Rochester, you can start picking up a decent radio station out of Utica.
That was likely WVOR Mix 100.5. From 2005 or 06 until last summer it was 100.5 The Drive, but since has returned to be the Mix 100.5 we know and love. On occasion, it can be heard clearly up to where 104 turns sharply north through Hannibal and Fruit Valley on its way to Oswego.
