I agree, but I think Kodak will make it one more year.

I think we will have to wait to see how the economy will turn out, at least three of those are tied to it.

If I wanted to read negative uninformed stupid opinions I'd go to craigslist or a newspaper forum. The only likely thing to happen would be the property tax increase.

1. Highly doubtful unless a bunch of people move into town to take advantage of our new and improved welfare benefits.
2. Highly unlikely since their balance sheet has been improving each quarter over the past year.
3. Paetec will do fine. The only way a company will turn off their network and telecom is if they are closing the doors. They were not supposed to build in 2009 and have said that the only way they will not are if costs to them go up or the site is not shovel ready in time.
4. Property Tax will rise anyways.
5. Any declines in population due to taxes will be offset in birth increases due to a grab for increased welfare benefits.

I agree, the "long overdue" increase in welfare "benefits" will certainly draw more people to the state of disrepair.

1. I agree, very unlikely.
2. I agree.
3. Disagree... Paetec is screwed and they will indeed not build downtown.
4. True.
5. That's just crazy. If something like that occurs, it happens rarely, not en masse.

poor shib...you have gotten your photographic/imaging companies confused. Polaroid (as it says in the article) is based in Minnesota. The photographic/imaging company we have here in Rochester is Kodak. Simple mistake though I guess!
There is also a Rochester in Minnesota but I'm not sure if that is where polaroid is headquartered
