you have a very wide range of neighborhoods in that list; most of them are either good or decent neighborhoods
I guess it would be best to break it down by zipcodes.
The houses in the zipcodes of 14607, 14620, and 14612 in those listings are pretty much areas you don't have to worry about.
14615 and 14613 aren't too bad for crime; but the reason some of those very nice looking and well kept houses are so cheap is because they are very close to Kodak Park; not exactly the most attractive area to see from your street or the most eco-friendly to say the least.
14609 is nice as long as you are east of Culver Road
Avoid 14611, 14619, and definitely 14621

There are alot of proporties on there. I don't know all the side streets off hand. Two that caught my attention that are in good areas:
Good section of town, used to have an apartment nearby. Would feel safe walking at night there.
1076 Winton Rd N, Rochester NE, NY 14609
Around the corner from my house, also safe.
370 Merchants Rd, Rochester NE, NY 14609
I used Remax. But I hear Sam from Northnagle is a good salesman, he pops up alot on that site.

14608 is hit or miss, like 14609. This zip code is split between a very gentrified Corn Hill or some pretty hard ghetto. You definitely want to stay within the circle formed by Ford Street and the river and even then some of the outer edges of this area aren't that great.

What about the parts of 14610 and 14606 in the city of Rochester? Also, are the High Schools in the zips to avoid Edison, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Douglass, Freddie Thomas and Wilson? So, would that leave Charlotte, Marshall, East, School of the Arts and Monroe in the nicer zips?

14610 is very nice, probably the most family-friendly area of the city with high home-ownership rates, low crime, and very nice houses. 14606 isn't TERRIBLE, there are worse places; but it's really not that great; a lot of bad stuff from the rougher surrounding areas is starting to creep in there.
