I think you will get plenty of recommendations about the little towns around to buy in but the P towns are generally good lol . The schools here are much better than So. Cal so dont worrie to much about that but do ask questions.
Ill get back to this n a few dinner time feel free to DM me

Thank you! It is very reassuring that you are from So. Cal living in Rochester and have survived. Yes, I better get some warm clothes and learn how to layer? Maybe some good coats or something? My memory of Cleveland winters is fading already. Let's see... boots, mittens, hats, scarves, coats, does that cover it?

Sweaters and fleeces over T's as well.... you will want to be able to add to and remove as you go in and out of doors.... even in spring and summer I like to have a sweater or light jacket with me.... it can get cool at night.... I tend to shy away from shorts too. I get by on a lot of capris for the majority of the summer- but that is me. I don't get too hot. Rochester has three very LOVELY seasons...really we do.... Spring, Summer and Fall are amazing. And if you enjoy winter sports then you will just LOVE every aspect of Rochester! Become a SNOW Bunny and Ski! lol..... I am too afraid personally wish I wasn't..... hope my kids will take it up when they get older.... NY has something for everyone!!!

Good idea with the fleece over the T's. I'm thinking some nice long johns as well. I'm not a big fan of skiing (or other winter sports, or any type of exercise for that matter ) either, being a scaredy cat myself. But I know I can't hibernate inside the house during the winter with 2 kids going wild. Probably that's a good thing--it's not good for the psyche to be isolated because of the weather. Thank you again for your input.

I'm in the Pasadena area, right next to Arcadia! Wonderful place to live and lots to do with the kids. It's actually pretty cool here today, around 65, but very pleasant.
