If anyone wants to get a glimpse of Rochester this one of the best times. The festival is at highland park from May 8th to the 17th.

I live in Buffalo and I am trying to make it at least 4 times! Already went once!... Amazing food rides and great time. Better then what they call the nys fair or what ever that thing is.

You can't mean that this Lilac fest is better than the NY State Fair, held each year in the great city of Syracuse, can you? I am going to Rochester today and will report back.

Well... yeah... The Erie County Fair in Buffalo is even bigger than the NYS Fair...

Well, we went and liked it very much. Our first time in Rochester and have to say it is a very nice place. Highland Park is truly beautiful, and the lilacs were stunning. I was amazed to see the turnout on a weekday, the place was packed! Snacked on a tasty but chintzy lobster roll, and overall would rate it a hit. Looking forward to going again.

You all are entering the best time in Rochester, with all the fairs and such going on. Having grown up on Ra-Cha-Cha and lived in numerous cities, I must say Rochester gets a bad rap. I don't really know what the economy is like there now, but it's in general a fantastic place.

I miss the white hots and garbage plates.
