Hi I just had to change my registration from Maine to New York. Now when I moved here I saw on the NY website that my inspection sticker would be fine till it ran out.

Well needless to say it was wrong and I have 10 days to get it inspected. So my question is where is the best place to go where they won't try and say you have all these problems so they can fix it.

Thanks for any help. The place I reside is in cornhill so the closer the better.

When I moved from North Carolina, they took both of our inspections until they ran out, and that was confirmed with the DMV. Maybe Maine is different.

I take my cars to a place on Winton and Merchants, but that is a little far from where you are.

Ask any of your neighbors for a trustworthy independent garage with whom they have done business.

We have a great one in Pittsford Village, but he is WAY out of your way.

Vail is on South Ave. in the South Wedge. I had inspection work done there several years ago, when we lived in the city. There's a place which is better, even, on S. Clinton I believe, and the place has been there for like 80 years, but I can't find it online (Schneider's maybe?). Milt & Ron's is a good place, too, and they're on S. Clinton, although they're mainly a transmission shop. The brothers who run the place are very helpful.

If you are willing to drive a scooch, try 12 Corners Garage in Brighton.

Hope this helps.
