Please suggest the best restaurants in Rochester, NY - we like fine dinning, but good food and wine are really what we're after when we visit soon. Thank you!

Personally if I were to pick a few restaurants it would be Stickey lips on Culver rd or Dinosaur BBQ near the war memorial. 2Vine is very good, more on the expensive side. Rochester has the garbage plate, you can go to Nick Tahoes on Main st.

Some other Rochester uniques are the white hots, different type of hot dog.

Joey Bs in the Village of Fairport along the canal, Grinell's, Crystal Barn, Woodcliff, Erie Grill at the Del Monte in Pittsford, Thendara, Hedges, Clark House...... are some others you might want to add to your list as well.... I have mentioned this other times but I love Aladins in Schoen Place in Pittsford for a casual meal along the canal outside- eating along the water... very nice! Have fun while you are here OH and if you like Sushi you HAVE to try California Rollin'.... it is a casual dining experience but one you will never forget.....

I've only visited Rochester (but I'm moving there in 10 days!), but I consider myself fortunate to have found Gusto.

Pleasant, sunny, airy, smells good as soon as you walk in the door, very pleasant staff, AND they have a gluten-free menu. Their gluten free pizza is awesome. And, if I remember right, only $8.

Yep, same building. I have never been inside it though. I have been in the Old Toad a couple of times. English Pubs are a bit different from American. Although its expensive, they have some great dark beer, yum.
