Hi! I am a young professional considering moving to Canandaigua from a much smaller town in the Finger Lakes. I would very much appreciate any thoughts on living in Canandaigua. It seems like Canandaigua has a lot to offer during the spring, summer and early fall months. What is it like during the winter months? Are there things to do there for young singles (in the thirties age range)? Any recommendations on the numerous apartment complexes? Any thoughts on what its really like to live there year round would be great. Thanks for your help!

So I hear it has the longest main street in N.Y.
I have not walked it, yet. We moved to Stanley one year ago, and is only 10 mins from Canadaigua traveling 5 & 20 route. This is a great location for the outdoors. |

Actually it is the "Widest Main Street" in America, although this is still debated between a few other American cities as well.
