Looking for a home to rent in the Canandaigua, NY area (Rochester: apartments, renters)

My husband and I just relocated back to NY from SC and are looking to rent a single family home in the Canandaigua or surrounding areas (Bloomfield, Mendon, Farmington, Victor...) We have two adult dogs (one golden and one lab), so home must be pet friendly. We would like to have a home in more of a country setting than right in town (a barn on the property would be perfect but not necessary). Ditto to Ms. McDonald's post. Are there sources to find rental housing in the Canandaigua area?

May be transferred to a parish in the area- just found out today.
Any suggestions?

[I'd prefer to stay near the village, as that's where the church is at... but am willing to consider.]
I might have a collie with me, come October.
