Default cheapest taxes in monroe/wayne county suburbs

Hello,

I currently own a house in E. Rochester and am thinking about moving with in the next year.

I was wondering what town has the cheapest property taxes and overall taxes in Monroe county and also in Wayne county.

Ive heard that Henrietta has the lowest taxes in Monroe county and im not sure about Wayne county.

Im looking to get a house around $150,000 price range.

Thanks!

So, maybe it would be any of the districts in the town of Hamlin, Clarkson, Irondequoit or Chili that look to be the cheapest in Monroe County.

Wow, here I was thinking the city was cheaper for taxes. I can see why they want to consolidate the school district. Looks like Henrietta is one of the cheaper areas, maybe because it is subsidized by the college?

Henrietta is the "commercial burb". It's essentially the suburban CBD of the Rochester area with many smaller high tech firms headquartered there; that plus RIT (which, because it is a private university, doesn't get the same tax breaks a state run school does) make for tons of commercial tax revenue; easing the property taxes from homeowners.

Wow! I was reading that wrong. It does look like the Rush-Henrietta SD is the cheapest and it is still a high quality SD and one of the most "diverse" in the area too. It has it all pretty much.

Caledonia-Mumford also has lower taxes in the towns of Chili, Wheatland and Riga.

The City and Town of Riga does include garbage collection I believe. That is worth around $320/yr. compared to Waste Management fees.

Are they the only two that include garbage collection?
