you can get Netflex stream on one of those game systems..forget which one, my son has it comes right to the tv
Once or twice a week mail would be fine with me..I've been using online service for getting and paying bills so most of my mail is junk anyways.....if I order something on line my preferred method to ship to me is UPS
Both xbox & wii have it, also you can get a small box from netflix for $99? that does the streaming. But if he's that far out that its miles and miles to town, then he prob does not have high speed internet that would support streaming.
Personally, if the mail only came 4-5 times a week I would be fine with it. I understand people wanting to get things quickly. We have netflix, but its not going to kill me to wait another day or two. Our mail service can be slow, even though its trucked in six days a week from the nearest city 90 miles away. My inlaws live 4 hours away. When they send a letter to my kids, it takes 4-5 days to get here. But, if I mail something to someone else in town, it arrives the very next day. Even though its trucked 90 miles to the city, and 90 miles back. LOL

My internet provider says that I have high speed internet; but it's variable. When I had Amazon Unbox, it indicated the download speed which varied from 480 kbps to 1240 kbps. It's a radio connection. Frequently, a download from Netflix stops to "adjust for a lower speed'. These interruptions usually range from five to thirty minutes. It can happen several times in the course of a film.
I liked Unbox. I think if Netflix flat-rated it, it would be a winner. I might have to wait a while to see it; but the quality was as good as DVD.
Also, Netflix has very few movies of interest to me for instant viewing. So DVD is the obvious choice.

Normally mail to Netflix is overnight. I mail mine to a box in Cheyenne. They do not have an office there, but send a truck every morning to pick up the mail and take it to Denver as well as mail out Wwyoming mail. I rate their customer service as outstanding.
When we are done watching a DVD, if we make a trip into any nearby town that has a post office and drop the outgoing DVD into their blue-box; then Netflix gets it within a day. It shows up on our Netflix account and they quickly send to us the next DVD.
If we put the outgoing DVD into our mail-box for the mail carrier to take; then Netflix gets it
in about two weeks. Sometimes it can take up to four weeks for it to show up on our Netflix account. Once it shows up on our account the next DVD is always fast in being sent to us.
It is well worth the effort to us, to make a trip into a post office whenever we have a DVD to go back to Netflix.
Not needed at all with internet,mostly junk mail of no use.
