On the Michigan side of Lake Michigan, its nice for photos, because they get several inches of new lake-effect snow almost every day, so it always has a clean and fresh look.

Valdez, Alaska is one option for a LOT of snow. Population about 4,000. Stowe, Vermont; Marquette, Michigan..all picturesque towns.

Look to small towns/cities in Oswego and Jefferson Counties in NY near Lake Ontario. Oswego, Fulton, Adams, Mexico, Phoenix, Sandy Creek and Hannibal are some communities to consider.

Leadville, CO
2 miles high, plenty of snow, old gold and silver mining community with historic buildings. Almost became the capitol of CO. Lots of historical stuff.

Leadville is the highest incorporated city in the United States
