It used to be exactly like that here. Then there was the problem that all the eligible people to date were your friends ex's! Now that is a small town problem!

Heavy traffic means 2 tractors and a truck going down the road in front of your house-on the same day.

You Know You Live in a Small Town When...

Amish buggies are seen up and down the streets on market days

The town newsletter is one 8'' x 10'' page, and it's stuck in our storm doors, once/month.

The mystery of the week is, which nice person is picking up your newspaper off the sidewalk and throwing it up on your front porch, so you can quickly retrieve it with your pj's on.

I have never had that happen. Interestingly enough, the mall I got to, there are people from the far reaches of northern Georgia who come to shop. The mall is located much closer to Atlanta.

That is very true! People who move to our state are surprised that our fire departments are all volunteer, which contributes to our very low tax rates. I salute Volunteer Fire Departments, all over! Each year, we try to contribute a little more to them.
