All the complexity of simply growing grass for animal food, along with the animals, is why I am NOT a farmer. However I am very glad some of you are. Thanks for the food.

Greg...you would not believe what it takes to raise animals these days. The first thing you need is a CNMP...Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan, at which mine is 150 pages thick, done by a certified planner with soil tests, manure tests and everything else. It is insane...all for a few sheep!

That is saying nothing about the Grazing Plan I have, nor the Scrapie Program. While these are not truly REQUIRED, in order to qualify for any loans or funding, they must be adhered too. It is crazy.

I am headed out now to sign some more paperwork so that I can get some more sheep/land.
