More and more restriction by ,mnay of the insurance comanies on what they will insursed with. Most agents know to ask ebcause it can limit who they get rates from. I know mine last tiem we chnaged asked alot of questions such as sources of heating i the netire house. What breed of dog we had iof we had one and when we ddid he named the one not taken by mnay insurance compnaies. The heating covered any heating source not controlled by a thermostat.Ask and he said it was just a meeter of what compnaies would not offer erus ones he ne knew that did altho it limited offers to insurance with many of the top rated companies. The same as some thing meant a higher rate because of claimjs because of them.

I know of a house that mysteriously went up in flames the week before the foreclosure auction. House was on the market for years at as high as 8mm in the beginning. Small fire, but after smoke and water damage the house had 850K in damage and the insurance company actually wrote the check.....hmmmmm
