My water was working lastnight, and when I woke up this morning, there was enough water to flush the commode and refill the tank, and enough to fill my coffee pot. Then, NOTHING. I went out to my pump house to check the pump out. My heat light was still on, the pipes were warm, but my pressure gauge said 0, and the pump was not running. I have power to the pump and cannot figure out why the pump will not come on. I have placed my heat lamp against the pump housing, thinking that some water froze inside the housing, but so far I still have no water. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry can't help ya.
If you get no response here you might want to try another rural forum like homesteading today.
Lots of rural folks on well water over there.

I'm gathering you have a jet pump and not a submersible.

If the water froze in the pump housing and the pump was trying to pump, the motor may have been damaged by being stalled out, or hopefully have blown an internal fuse or breaker (if it has one). Look on the casing for a little red push button switch and press it if it is there. Verify that the circuit breaker in the house going to the pump is not tripped (flip it to the tripped position and then back). If twenty minutes of direct heat on the bell casing and the breaker things don't work, you may need to call a plumber or get a new pump.

Power to pump control box?

Pressure Tank and switch? (may be frozen shut)

Then test your pump relays and capacitor.

I keep a 'parts' box' with all the $3 components that might otherwise result in a $300 service call.
