We are from upstate New York and we are thinking of relocating. We live in a small quiet town and would like to move somewhere that has the same feel. I'm a production supervisor and my wife is a new york state certified teacher.

What we need. Access to outdoor sports, golf, fishing, hunting, running, camping. Close(within 20 minutes) to a city where we can get everything we need as far as groceries, empolyment, leisure activities etc.

She would like to continue to teach and I would like to get back into landscaping and possibly explore real estate. I also have the production/manufacturing to fall back on.

A good school district is a must, we have a 2 1/2 year old and plan on more.

Anyone that lives somewhere they absolutely love, brag about it! and tell us why it would be a good fit for us. If I have left out any information that is key comment on that as well. Almost forgot, we would like at least 10 months of no snow!

Thanks to all!

Guthrie, OK is very nice and famous for having a quaint, restored downtown that looks like the old frontier days. Unlike a lot of small towns Guthrie has been slowly growing. It's about 20 minutes to a much bigger suburban place, Edmond with about everything Guthrie lacks. It usually snows several times a winter and seldom more than several inches at a time. Most of the snow may be gone by the end of the next day. However, it's likely to snow from November to March, so no 10 months of totally free snow can be assured.

Check out Yulee and Fernandina Beach in Nassau County, Florida. It has one of the best school districts in the state (#6 out of 67 districts) a low cost of living with no state taxes, tons of outdoor recreation options such as golf and fishing and of course beautiful beaches nearby. Landscaping and real estate are viable options plus of course teaching. Highly recommended!! : )
