Funny video. Is pecan a good burning wood? We don't have it in Missouri.

Pecan burns good, but tends to crackle and pop when burned in a fireplace...It is good for grilling, and puts a unique flavor on chicken and ribs.

Pecan trees were grown along the Mississippi River years ago, and Indians often used them as trade goods. Over the years, they have spread throughout the south and west. I'm surprised they aren't any in MO...swome nursies produce a more hardy type of pecan tree...I've seen a few in KY.

Thanks for the comment.
