Dixie's got 'em. Here's just a sampling of some fine honeys who have since become American Icons

-Patsy Cline (Winchester, Virginia)

Patsy Cline sang so well, people didn't know how to classify her. Born September 8th, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia, she grew up singing at honky tonks and bars in the Shenandoah Valley. At the tender age of 24, she won Arthur Godfrey's talent Scouts with 'Walkin' After Midnight'. She is one of the few country singers who are accepted by non-country music fans. One of the best female singers in the history of Popular Music. Patsy Cline tragically died in a plane crash in the hills near Camden, TN.

Ava Gardner (Grabtown, North Carolina)

Considered one of the most beautiful women on screen, Ava quickly went from rural poverty to one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Despite quips about her acting ability, she was a fine actress, but limited success in movies kept her from furthering her success. Her best films are The Killers, Night Of the Iguana, and Showboat.

Anna Nicole Smith (Houston, Texas)

Anna was born in Houston, but grew up in a very small town in Texas.
This reality TV Star beauty, was a modern day Marylin Monroe. She began modeling at age 20, and she went on to become 1993 playmate of the year. She had a personality as big as Texas and a heart to match.

Dolly Parton (Sevierville, TN)

Adding another buxom blonde to our list, Dolly Parton is one of the most talented female entertainers in the world. Born in rural TN, she grew up singing with her family and listening to the mountain music around her. She went on to write hundreds of songs, including "I Will Always Love You" and "Coat Of Many Colors". She can also play several instruments, and has one of the most distinctive voices in country music.

Dolly seems like a nice person..I don't think it's fake with her.
Add to your list Loretta Lynn who I happen to think is fantastic--I am compelled to watch Coal Miner's Daughter EVERY TIME it's on, despite being a northern "Yankee" with nothing in common with life in KY or coal mines or country music!

Yes, Loretta Lynn

(Butcher Hollow, KY)

Loretta Lynn was of course a coal miner's daughter. She has since become a country music legend. Some of her songs have even sparked controversy on country radio such as "The Pill". Loretta Lynn is also the sister of another country music singer: Crystal Gayle. She was also friends with Patsy Cline, and her autiobiography was also made into a major motion picture starring Sissy Spaceck

Yeah cuz she's done so well for herself. Two quick marriages and divorces, two unplanned children, net worth went from 100M to 30M partly thanks to Fedex. Rarely wears underwear or shoes for that matter. Looking good bald and with many new tattoos! Nice picture of her on People.com yesterday strolling through Beverly Hills- caption said she looked more like a 'Beverly Hillbilly'. Now she is just referred to as white trash by the media.

Well, compared to Anna Nicole, Britney is darn near wholesome.
