"Party, town punk and girl". Hmmm interesting cocktail.By 'town punk" I'm assuming you mean he is a known person, to many people other than you? Including he local cops? A compound fracture to the jaw? That's serious hurt. And the cops won't do anything. There's some holes in this. But, I will offer one piece of advice. Drop any plans for revenge of a physical nature. Small towns are not conducive to getting away with anything.

Where are you located? You could always get revenge and shot the punk. I know several gangsters from the big city and they are not nice and speak Spanish, some speak Italian...get it, cost is cheap.

go on Judge Judy and sue the punk.

( but it might backfire cuz Judge Judy is good at determining what really happened and at getting the whole story)

Even us posting here, have only heard one side of the story and even that side was lacking details.

But, if you go after the property owner for the injury, it doesn't matter. It happen on their land. Civil is MUCH easier than criminal.
