Come live in my neck of the woods, in Missouri. Everyone has at least a few critters. We have peacocks, geese, ducks, chickens, and turkeys. Neighbors across the street have several horses and more cows than I can count.
Takes less than 10 minutes to get to the nearest grocery store. WalMart is about 30 minutes away.

I'm in west-central Missouri. Roughly halfway between Kansas City and Springfield.
