It would help to know the efficiency of the furnace, and at least a general idea of how well insulated the house is - but just as I can say that in general a "car" will get somewhere from 15 to maybe 35 MPG, that 200 gallon propane tank should last at least a month, probably 2 and maybe 3 months. Keep in mind that a nomial 200 gallon tank will only be filled to about 180 gallons or less.

If you want to post up where the house is, how well insulated, and some idea of how old/efficient the furnace is, a better estimate can be given.

For a rental house, typically, you can do a few simple upgrades that most landlords won't object to such as better felt seals around doors, maybe put some gaskets under electrical outlets and switches, etc. which will pay for themselves in the first season and won't cost much in money or time to do.

Propane heat is not typically very economical. At least not here in the PNW area.
