Hi I'm new to this forum and I think I posted my question in the wrong place, so here I go again...

My husband and I are considering a move to Cranbrook, BC. His brother, wife and two kids live there and are the same age as us. Other than that we don't know anyone there (though my dad's family are all in Calgary), It looks like my husband could get a good job there. We've been there once, loved the town, but as a stay at home mom, I'm a little worried about having to develop a whole new social circle. What are people like? Are they welcoming to new people (we are from Winnipeg) We really want to live somewhere where we can become part of the community and raise our children in a safe beautiful environment.

thanks for your help!

Have you posted this in the Canadian forum? You might get better response there.

I've never lived in Cranbrook, only visited, but I liked it as well, and the thought has crossed my mind that there would definitely be worse places to live.

I hope you get the answers you're looking for and good luck in Cranbrook!

Thanks for telling me, I didn't realize I wasn't on the Canadian forum--no wonder I didn't get any responses!
