Yes, in Delaware, we have small fishing communities with bungalows. No sales tax in Delaware, and low real estate taxes. I don't sell real estate, so best bet is to find a Realtor.

I can't imagine you're going to find anything fairly cheap by the coast. Those days are long gone (and I don't think I could stand Virginia or NC weather....or NJ, Delaware, or MD, for that matter. Too hot and muggy in the summer. That's just me.)

Default Moderate climate?

There's certainly no moderate winter climate anywhere from Washington D.C. northward, and it's doubtful if there's any moderate summer climate from Washington D.C. southward, and since living on or near the coast is popular almost everywhere (and hence expensive), what is the OP to do? The climate on the California coast is about as close to ideal as you can get, but it's very expensive. Alas....
