Best time to visit Apple Hill
I swear I always plan it poorly. Last year I didn't go at all.
So with the cooler summer weather - does anyone know a good guess at when the best harvest time is?
I can go, either beginning of Oct or beginning of November. I know sometimes when I went in November it's just picked over, hardly anyone there (I like going when there are crowds) and wet.
So Early Oct? Or will it not be ready yet?

Early Oct is a great time to visit apple hill and if you like crowds weekends will give you plenty of that. Most of the varieties are released by mid October or so and if you want wet check the weather predictions

Here is a generalize ripening schedule for different types of applies. The ones I like best usually ripen later.

I also use the AH website to make plans. A link to the maps is here and other links can be found on the page.

Watch the weather, when it's going to rain, grab your umbrella and go to Apple Hill.
